Bought gray because black was out of stock. The gray is decently dark. The example picture is a decent representation of the color, the actual gray is slightly darker. I use it for brush lettering and it works very well. The tip is flexible and easy to control. Writing with this pen is so smooth and it's my new favorite.

This pen is great! It has become my favorite brush pen and I want to purchase the 12 color pack. Great for any beginners! Definitely would recommend!

Perfect colored ink, I use this for small doodles and for quick shading (with cross hatching marks on certain areas) the gray color is fairly dark with is good for deep shading and for a noticible look, the fine tip feels fragile on paper and I use it on some occasions when I'm at home drawing. The ink doesn't smudge and you can write fairly fast with it so it's also great for journaling . Really recommend this pen.

Awesome. I had 2 blacks of this brand and I love them. I was looking for something that wasn't as dark as black but still neutral and this shade of gray is very very beautiful! I love the waterbased look, it glides superb and the tip is very controllable.

i accidentally bought the gray instead of the black, honestly though i dont regret this accident. great for beginners
