The Alpha Bits Cardmaking Kit

Today I have two cards to share with you that I created with the new Alpha Bits Cardmaking Kit from Taylored Expressions. This is such a fun kit!

The Alpha Bits Kit is $67 packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker. The kit includes:
  • Tall Tales Alpha die
  • Drop Shadow Stencils
  • Bold Border Background Blocks
  • The Insiders – Alpha Bits
  • True Colors Inspiration Cards (Set of 4)
Most kit items are not available to purchase individually.

Additional products available to purchase outside of the kit: The Insiders – Alpha BitsAlpha Bits Envelope SealsWavy Stitch Stacklets, and Foil It – Drop Shadow Sentiments.

Limited quantity available.

The Kit contains the Tall Tales Alpha Dies, which is a full set of  the Alphabet. You can create your own words or use the Drop Shadow Stencils included in the kit. Here I decided to create the word bloom, which I die cut from Macaron Cardstock.

I stamped the polka dot stamp in the Bold Border Background Blocks with Versamark Ink, embossed with white embossing powder, and then blended Dill Pickle Ink over the dots. I added the additional sentiments with the You Are Additions Stamp Set and coordinating Dies. I added the flowers and greenery with the Garden Variety 2 Dies.

To create the background I die cut a piece Salt Water Taffy Cardstock, stamped the striped stamp in the Bold Border Background Blocks with Salt Water Ink. Then I used the Wavy Stitch Stacklets to add the stitched detailing. This die is available for purchase outside of the kit.

On my second card I used the Thanks Drop Shadow Stencils with Oyster Ink. Then I die cut the letters in the cardstock colors I linked below. I die cut each letter three times and layered them together. I used the striped stamp in the kit for the background.

I added the the flower and leaves with the Garden Variety 2 Dies and added a Yellow Glitter Drop to the center of the flower.

I used the Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets and the Petite Scallops Stacklets to frame the sentiment.

The heart is included in the Hats Off to Dad Stamp Set and the larger sentiment is included in the new Father's Day Sentiments Stamp Set. I used the Reflections: April Dies to die cut the center section.

The striped background is stenciled with the Perfect Stripes Stencil with Enchanted Evening and True Black Ink.

The Propagation Garden Collection

Hi! Today I have three cards to share with you today that I created with the new The Propagation Garden Collection from Spellbinders.

I do not have anything like this collection in my stash! The plants are beautiful and there are elements to to create chemistry bottles making this collection perfect for a variety of cards.

On my first card I incorporated the plants with the Propagation Garden Frames Etched Dies. I will link the products below. The frame has nice wood grain details. I used a white cardstock and blended a pale gray ink of the edges. Next I created the bottles with the Laboratory Glassware Etched Dies. I love all the details you can add, including the etched lab details and the the water.

The plants are created with the Propagation Plants Etched Dies. I love the addition of the die for the roots and the details on the plants.

The background is embossed with the Leafy Helix Embossing Folder. It is the perfect background for these products. The sentiment is from the Propagation Garden Sentiments Stamp & Die Cutting Set.

The Propagation Garden Frames Etched Dies can be used in two way. Here I added the extra tray to hold the bottles.

The sentiment is included in the  Propagation Garden Sentiments Stamp & Die Cutting Set.

You can mixed other floral die cuts with the greenery in this set. Here I used the Sealed Bouquet Etched Dies.  I also used the longer die in the Propagation Garden Frames Etched Dies to added the shelf at the bottom.

There is also a wax seal included in the collection. I love the simple "Hello" created with Oval Hello Wax Seal Stamp. I used two of the colors in the Must-Have- Wax Bead Mis Teal and highlighted the text with a Uchida - DecoColor Premium Gold Metallic Marker.

Thanks for stopping by!  Stop by the Spellbinders Store to see the The Propagation Garden Collection.
