Taylored Expressions-For Him Release!

Today is the For Him release over at Taylored Expressions!! It’s a complimentary release to the previous For Her release in that it has masculine products to balance out the previous! That being said, I think that we can all agree both of these releases can be used for both genders to spread the joy of a handmade card!

Perfect example of this is this first card! I LOVE pens, markers, pencils–whatever. Always have–who knows why, but office supplies are enjoyable 😂! I digress– This is a fun card to use for Father’s Day nonetheless. And since I have a plethora of Sharpies in my collections, I figured it best to send what I love 😊! These are from the New First Draft Dies. The pocket is the new Pocketful die and the background is the New Wonky Grid Background Stamp using a bunch of TE Blues!

I love that pencil–The fact it is separate dies to be able to add the fun details! Love it! 🙂

Next up, I used the New Tools of the Trade along with the Pocketful to create another Dad’s Day card. This one also used the previously released Simple Strips – Man Myth Legend set.

I’m also loving the new Plaid Background. I stamped this with Brussels Sprout on Green Tea. I die cut the tools from TE Silver Cardstock which worked out perfectly!

I though it would be fun to score the backdrop and splatter the dickens out of it since this is how home improvement projects look–that and 15 trips to Home Depot 😂.

And last but not least, this fun one for anyone! This uses the new 5 O’Clock Somewhere Stamp & Stencil Combo and New Worth a Shot sentiment set. Super fun and the The Deco Gel 1.0 MilkyWay set works perfectly on the Black Licorice to create this fun night time celebration!

I white heat embossed these and then colored them in. Love the way the colors POP!

Waffle Flower: May 2024 NEW Release!

There is New Release over at Waffle Flower: BEACH DAYS! Today, we are sharing the May Release! You can find all the new products >>HERE<<!!

First up, we have one of the two new Postage Collage Sets! This one is called: Postage Collage Beach Days Stencil + Postage Collage Beach Days Stamp Set. This also uses the new cutting plate called: Happy Waves Panel Die. I also used the Postage Collage Blocks Stencil to fill in some of the background on this one and my 4th of July card.

This is definitely one of my favorite cards from this release 🙂 It makes me think I’m on the beach sending postacards! 🙂

This next card cracks me up! Hello little fry thief! This little bird thief is from the Happy Seagull Die set. The sentiment is from the new Inquisitive Seagulls Stamp Set.

The bottom sand is created with the new Wavy Borders Die which I can see using often to just create that perfect rolling finished edge for many a things! 🙂

I also love the new Beach Umbrella Die n Stencil! This one is super easy to use and make allllll the beach umbrellas with. And the new Oversized Beach Word Die works swimmingly with the new subsentiments this month!

And again the new Happy Waves Panel Die is FABULOUS! So easy to create some subtle texture.

I really wish I was in one of these cards about now! 🙂

Next up, I used the Beach Umbrella Die n Stencil along with the new Sea Foam Stencil. I created the sand with the new Wavy Borders Die. I also used the new Pocket Slots Die to hold the gift card–big fan of this finished slot!

The Hello is from the new Beach Days Greetings Stamp Set. How fun to create your sentiment in the sand!

One of my new favorites I can see using OFTEN is the Beach Tote Die! Super fun and full customizable! Also, perfect for giftcards! Eeeeep! 🙂 It also uses the new Beach Tote Sentiments Stamp Set to create the towel and includes the sentiments!

And then there are these funny new Inquisitive Seagulls dies and again the Inquisitive Seagulls Stamp Set.

The beach collection icons are from the Seashells Die set.

The second new addtion to the Postage Collage Collection is this Postage Collage 4th of July Stencil + 4th of July Stencil Stamp.

This background is created with the previously released Sparkles Panel Die.

And this last card full of celebratory funny fun (wow! that’s a mouth full! 😂) Combining both the Postage Collage 4th of July Stencil and the Postage Collage Beach Days Stencil.

The background of this one is the much loved and used Dashed Rhombus Panel Die. The sentiment is from the new Birthday Wishes Stamp Set + the Birthday Wishes Coordinating Die Set.

Taylored Expressions-April Card Kit–Alpha FUN!

Well, I just had to stop and think what month we were in to write the title of this post! Haaaa! Here we are, end of APRIL already!! Which means a new Cardmaking Kit over at Taylored Expressions!!

I know I absolutely say this often, but I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t mean it–this is a GOOD ONE! 😊😊 This is called the Alpha Bits Kit and it is awesome! I love the font TE chose to use for this and I love the size of the letters! I have alpha bit soup still on my desk 🙂

This first card uses lots of goodies in the kit:

Tall Tales Alpha die
Drop Shadow Stencils
Bold Border Background Blocks

I did some masking here to create this one–both for the background stamping and the drop shadow of the stencil. I think it turned out fun! And it was super easy. I used Oyster and Earl Grey and then altered them stamp to stencil.

Of course, the linear edges scream to be stitched, so I listened and did just that. I have PLENTY of letters to make some more of these, so I’m looking forward to that! 🙂

Next up, I had to laugh because I say this all the time.. It’s like a double positive with a negative in there–and then with yes, on the side. 😂 I wasn’t sure if it was a Midwest thing or just a me thing, but Jen Shultz has confirmed that she too says something like this. 🙂 I love being able to personalize cards with fun sentiments!

These letters are cut from Tropical Punch and then stamped with Tropical Punch ink using the Bold Border Background Blocks. One of my other favorite things about this week’s release is the Wavy Stitch Stacklets! And that we can use them alllllllllllllllllll the time now! Eeeeeep!

I couldn’t resist adding in the Simple Strip is from the Simple Strip-Snarky set. Oh my goodness–I still laugh at this one! I hope you get a kick out of it too 🙂

Taylored Expressions-Hellllllo Glassboard! ++

Today there are a couple fun and different new items over at Taylored Expressions!! I will for sure be ordering something myself 🙂

The big heads up is the TE Glassboard–and I mean that literally–it’s big!! Giving a shout out for this board because I sure do love mine! It’s an investment and one I’m so glad I made! It covers the area that I work on perfectly and has changed my cleanup and crafting. It is super easy to clean up and have a clean space to work on again. Blending stencils or anything is a breeze–wipe off excess ink in a flash! I’ve gotten everything on it and everything has come off. Instead of pulling out scratch paper or whatever to cover my desk, I’m ready to go! The size of the TE Glassboard is clutch for sure. The markings for measurement have come in handy time and time again too. To sum it up, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! (Did I mention it’s magnetic? But not overly–things come off easily when you want them too and stay where you need them too!) I still use my little TE Glassboard and love the idea of taking that one on the go! Prior to both of these, I had a different glass board, but I think I used it once (?)– it wasn’t for me. This one is all about the aesthetic to work on, the size and the easy clean up! 🤍

Anywho–that’s the fun new from TE!

And for kicks thought I’d share a couple cards I made with dinosaurs I lifted from my friend Heather’s trash can! 😂! I found these dinos in the trash can and rescued them to make these two cute cards–of course, I sent one to Heather and thanked her for the trash dinos 🙂

These use the DINO-MITE STAMP & STENCIL COMBO and the DINO-MITE CUTTING PLATE. Quick and so fun for rescuing them from the trash! So really, these cards are joint efforts between me and Heather Nichols! 💛😂

Taylored Expressions-New Colors!!

Today is the NEW COLOR release over at Taylored Expressions!! I don’t know about you, but I always love new colors and this release is no exception! 🙂 Don’t even ask me to pick a favorite, because I have found them all useful in some combo and I can’t wait to use them all the time now!

The four new colors are:

Brussels Sprout
Green Tea
Blue Cheese
Oat Milk

I used them all here with the Spring Fling Layered Stencil, Garden Variety 2, Rustic Watering Can and the A2 Postage Stamp Stacklets.

This turned out sooo lovely and pretty! The sentiment is from On Occasion. I added a few extra colors to give the stencil blending some more pop, so I needed a bigger TE True Colors Inkspiration Card! 🙂

This seems like a very cheerful card to pop into the mail for someone! 🙂

Next up, I couldn’t resist the 60’s/70’s color kitchen vibes! I couldn’t decided with scheme to go with, so I might have gone a little overboard adding all the colors, but hey, it’s creating 🙂

So therefore, I used all the new colors Brussels Sprout. Green Tea, Blue Cheese, and Oat Milk and a splattering of “old” colors: Sweet Potato and Dijon!

I had to use the toast, so then I had to put googley eyes on him! ha!! 🙂 If you give a Mouse a Cookie…

While this one is a bit busy, I still think it turned out pretty retro and fun! 🙂 The What’s Cookin’ set makes me what to get out all the vintage Pyrex and Corningware for sure! 🙂

Taylored Expressions-For Her Release

Today is the For Her release over at Taylored Expressions!! This a great release for all things flowers, care and evryday greetings! And while it is focused on the women in our lives, there is plenty of love for a plethora of occasions!

First up, this one is perfect for Mother’s Day! This is the new Folk Mom along with the previously released Roll With It Flower 1 and the Roll With It Flower 3 die. I used Dark Berry and Peacock felt to create these flowers. The leaves are Split Pea.

Making these felt flowers with TE Felt is so fun! I keep saying I am going to make a big pile of them! 🙂 The background here was created with the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets and the Sketched Hearts 3D Embossing Folder.

Next up, the new You Are Additions and You Are Additions Die with a bunch of different words to combine with the start of “You Are..”. For this, I thought it would be fun to make a card to tell someone they are awesome! Male or female, right?
The background is created with the Cloudy Skies Piercing Plate. The clouds were created with the Stitched Easy Strips (Easy Strips – 1/4″ Stitched and 1/8″) and the Cloud Stacklets. And of course, the Gus & Gertie Ride On with the Gus & Gertie Ride On Dies!

So cute!

And I used the “One of a Kind” with the Cute Carton Rainbow.

Waffle Flower: April 2024 NEW Release!

Let’s kick it off with a super colorful number that is very easy to use–this stencil is set up so it’s kind of like stencil by number! Layers are labeled and directions are given… couldn’t be easier! It’s called Wild Flowers Stencil.

Taylored Expressions-Bring on the FOIL!

It’s a shiny happy release over at Taylored Expressions today!! It’s all about FOIL! That means shiny, sparkly fun!! There are a boatload (no pun intended from my first card) of new Foil It Panels and there is a plethora of new Fun Foils from Taylored Expressions too! ALLLLLL the colors!

First up, this one uses the new Foil It – Catchin’ Waves and Foil It – Sentiment Strips with the new Cookie Monster Fun Foil! And of course, always some of my favorites (and yours?) Gus & Gertie Ride On with the Gus & Gertie Ride On Dies!

First you always want to foil your panel to be sure you get even coverage with no interruptions from ink, etc. Then you can blend inks over, no problem at all! The foil does not come off–just in case you’re new to foiling and didn’t know 😉. (Because my instinct is to not even touch the foil after, but believe you me, it doesn’t move!).

I love how this one turned out with the sweet dusk of a sky using the Set the Scene – Clouds Stencil Strips with Peaches n Cream, a few different yellows and dash of Bubblegum! They look so happy floating along! Oh and the sentiment is also new from the Foil It – Sentiment Strips foiled in the new Champagne Fun Foil.

Next up, I used the new Foil It – Inked Botanicals along with the Accented Artistic Branch and Artistic Branch Coordinating Die in Jalapeno.

This panel is foiled with the new Dragon Fruit Fun Foil which is bright and bold! I cut the Accented Artistic Branch from Jalapeno cardstock and blended a little ink over top before spattering it too!

The sentiment is again from the new Foil It – Sentiment Strips foiled in the new Champagne Fun Foil. I tried to mix it up a bit, but turns out these work for everything! 🙂

This card is a little busier than what I’d typically create–maybe? But I think it’s growing on me 🙂

Taylored Expressions-Scattered Blooms!

I can’t even believe it, but it is the end of March and that means a new Cardmaking Kit over at Taylored Expressions!! The ease of this Scattered Blooms Kit and the lovely flowers one can create so easily is going to make you go all 😍😍! It did me! 🙂

First up –I just love how these colors came together on the Scattered Blooms stencil layers and how it turned out! 🙂 When you have a new set, you’re never quite sure what you’re creating til it all comes together. And I never chuck anything (I don’t have time for that silliness 😂), so I’m always hopeful. This is was a delightful result!

First I foiled the Scattered Blooms Foil it with Dark Blue Foil and then I blended all the colorful layers on.

And the Big Hugs die is awesome–don’t forget to snag the Big Hugs Backer, if you’re interested. I can all but guarantee you’re going to want that. But I do love it is not included in the kit, because things like that surely keep the price down for us–and then you personally have the choice to order or not. 🙂

The Simple Strip is from the Simple Strip-Friendship set. I wish I had blended a few more of these when I made this one! Always the way. 🙂

Next up, I went with the pinks and purple-ish colorway and I must say, I was not disappointed! For this, I used a Pink Foil and then blended and die cut the flowers. I absolutely love how the Scattered Blooms Die not only is easy to align and cut these out, but how it makes this letter press like impression etch on the flowers! The details!! 😍

I thought this would make a pretty Mother’s Day Card, so I used the Get the Word Out-Mother’s Day stamp and die.

The background was created with the Masking Stencil-Square and Sour Gummy ink with a VERY light hand!

I love how this one turned out too! I’m hoping to make a few more cards with this kit this week! 🙂

Taylored Expressions-Let’s Rainbow!

Hooray for a New Release over at Taylored Expressions… it’s all Sunshine and Rainbows!! I am very excited about this release–I love the Sunshine Kit and now you can get some of those items a la carte! Big fan!

These are the Foil It – ROYGBIV with the Create-in-Quads – ROYGBIV! Soooooo fun! I could make these all day! 🙂

For both of these I used the TE Fun Foil Glitter Shimmer! Love that one!

Next up, I really wanted to straight up Googley eye this sun–that is my favorite from the previous kit release–so cute and fun to get in the mail. However, I thought I’d mix it up and go with this little sun!

This sentiment, face and then the die is all from the Here Comes the Sun–stamps, dies and foil it!
