Nightmare to put togetherAnonymous reviewerAs loads of other reviewers say, it's awful to put together, the first ever Ikea product I've ever had an issue with. It's good now it's done, but dropped two stars because of the construction.3
Perfect Anonymous reviewerGot this for my model room and it's perfect, thanks IKEA. 5
FlimsyAnonymous reviewerDisappointing 2
Just beautiful Anonymous reviewerBought it for my teenager daughter's office in her bedroom and she loves it.5
Worst drawersAnonymous reviewerThis is not good the top keeps coming apart, awful structure, the way it is put together is not safe, I threw it in the rubbish, I used it for tools, changed to the wood crates.1
Terrible flimsy product. Avoid.Anonymous reviewerIf I could leave zero stars, I would. Purchased some time ago, and only just got round to building, so I can't get my money back. Main panels bent and warped, which means the drawer rails fall out, as does the bottom feet and the top won't lock in due to it not fitting the tabs. I've built one before, which went together fine, but this one has been impossible to build due to the amount of warping and damage trying to get it to go together. My advice is to purchase something more substantial, as this is a very cheap product for a reason.1
Runners off all the timeAnonymous reviewerThis looks great and the build was ok. However the design doesn’t work. The drawers come off their runners all the time and it’s not a quick job to put them back on. Plus once one comes off, it drops onto the ones below sending the next drawers also off their runners! The more you use it, the more the come off! I would not recommend. 1
Helmer Drawer UnitAnonymous reviewerAfter reading the reviews, which I should have done first. I’ve to say this product is not up to Ikea standard. Drawer runners kept fully and not very pleasing to look. Look at alternatives if you can. Will probably be in the bin in a month or so.1
TERRIBLE DO NOT BUY!!!Anonymous reviewerDo not buy this cabinet!! I have just picked this up today and wish I hadn't. It is impossible to put together. The metal is so flimsy every time you just touch it, it dents. I have eventually put together after nearly 2 hours and the cabinet looks like I pulled form a skip. A total waste of time and won't even use it. So angry at being sold such a rubbish product and terrible instructions. Shame on you IKEA!!!1
Looks nice but rails repeatedly fall offAnonymous reviewerThe aesthetic is nice, and for what it is used for, it does the job for me. However, the rails on the side continuously fall off, it comes apart very easily if you slide the drawer in/out too quick/hard… its not the best design in terms of functionality and reliability. 2
What a load of rubbish!Anonymous reviewerWhat a load of rubbish!
I purchased these drawers years ago and they are still going strong, not one issue. So I thought when I needed more drawers to get the same ones, mistake! Ikea please note furniture needs to be held together with screws, who ever thought a tiny flat thin piece material would hold this together? the draw fittings need to be screwed into place and draw fronts need to be screwed to the drawer. Have your been making furniture for years? Is this a thing now, no screws? Do not buy, not worth the money, will not last. Useless! Other previous may be for the previews version that screwed together, please see product details for assembly instructions to understand how this goes together (before purchasing!).
Also note no stars not available1
Does what it says on the tin…Anonymous reviewerEasy to assemble, sturdy and nice long drawers.5
So disappointed Anonymous reviewerI’m a bit odd, I usually love putting together IKEA items, however, that was not the case with this heap of rubbish! It was badly fabricated - so many parts did not fit together as they should. Halfway through I seriously considered just taking the hit & putting it in the bin as it was frustrating me so much! I eventually finished it, but I’m not impressed. The wheels are absolute garbage as they are fixed so you can only push it forward & back & actually make it really hard to move in any other direction. The drawers don’t glide open & shut & all in all the unit feels cheap & nasty! 1
Excellent ValueAnonymous reviewerWas looking for an under desk pedestal or cabinet for home office without spending a great deal of money. This cabinet is excellent value for money. Was hesitant given some reviews but I've found the cabinet to be perfectly sturdy when constructed. It is small, so only designed for items of stationary and for me, keeping my desk clutter free. I don't intend moving it around however the castors seem good quality and are also very secure once in place. Definitely recommend5
Just the jobAnonymous reviewerI recently purchased a Helmer unit to store paper for my printer. The size was excellent as it fits under my computer desk perfectly. Plenty of storage for my printer paper and quite a few other bits. The quality of the unit is excellent, easy to assemble and easy to move on the castors.5
Office drawsAnonymous reviewerAgreat item for holding smaller items.
A little fiddly to assemble it Judy needs patience 😉5
Actually really goodAnonymous reviewerSo good I bought a second. They took me half hour each to set up. They are a quite innovative ‘folding’ mechanism. You just fold the steel to fasten. Very clever. They won’t be the most solid stable furniture (you couldn’t sit on it) but for what I wanted it for (to file and sort my extensive beauty and skincare) it’s perfect: the drawers are surprisingly smooth. On my 2nd I decided not to put the drawer limiter to prevent the drawer pulling out completely. Because the steel is thin, they are very roomy compared to a thicker particle board. Where space is tight (central london apartment) this is important! I love them. The labels don’t stay in but I got a cheap label machine from Mr Bezos. I would again and highly recommend. They should design more in this range and construction. Well done ikea 5
I can see why some people don't like it.Anonymous reviewerAlthough I managed to assemble it fine I can see why some people can struggle. It is mostly held together by metal clips and the drawers are made out of one large sheet of metal that you have to bend it into shape.
The end product is surprisingly stable but I don't think it's going to last a moving.
I still like it though.4
Do not buy thisAnonymous reviewerThis is the poorest quality unit I have ever bought from ikea - the build is all ‘bend and fold’ meaning nothing is square, secure or permanent. Drawers don’t align, rattle, and the whole thing looks cheap (which to be fair, it is).1
Looks good - bit flimsyAnonymous reviewerLooks good - bit flimsy but it’s not expensive4
