Taylored Expressions For Him Release Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Release Tuesday! Hope you are off to a good start to the week. The For Him Release has so many great cardmaking products for the perfect guy in your life but I took a little detour and used the products with rainbow & floral twists for a collection of Everyday Occassion cards. 

First Draft with All My Art

For a fun Arts & Crafts inspired card, I combined the First Draft (+Pliers from Tools of the Trade) with the Notepaper background stamped in Saltwater Taffy Ink.

I die cut all the sketching & jewelry making pieces in Rainbow Colors and for extra shine, I added silver foil cardstock accents. To finish the card, I added a black and white embossed With All My Art sentiment and added the decorated panel to a Saltwater Taffy Cardbase.

The 5’O Clock Somewhere Stamp & Stencil and Coordinating Dies + Worth a Shot Sentiments is the perfect pairing for all those mocktail & cocktail celebrations! I placed my drinks on a wood panel bar using the Up Against a Wall Background in Cinnamon ink on woodgrain cardstock. For extra dimension, I ink blended the edges of the bar with Toffee ink.

I went for a retro-themed bar with the pierced diamond background but you could add some fringe and tropical leaves for a Tiki Bar. For the drinks, I stamped the images with Oreo ink and used the coordinating stencil to mix up the cocktails: A Sparkling Rose in Pink Champagne Ink, an Old Fashioned with Honey Ink, a Margarita in Key Lime Ink and a glass of Sangria with Raspberry Sorbet ink. To finish the card, I added a black and white embossed sentiment from Worth a Shot and attached the decorated card panel to a cinnamon cardbase.

Pocketful of Posies

My last card using the Pocketful Die Set with the Pocket Full of Posies (only available with the New Release promotion—see details below). To create the denim pocket, I used the Pocketfull die in Gumball cardstock and ink blended Blue Cheese & Gumball inks around the edges. For the Rainbow, I used the Rainbow Bright die and trimmed it to fit the pocket.

I die cut the Posies in Sugar Cube and Mango cardstock and a few leaves in Kiwi & Dill Pickle cardstock. After adhereing the posies to the pocket, I added the “It’s Your Day” black and white embossed sentiment.

To finish the card, I added the decorated Stitched Rectangle panel to a Black (VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink) and White (sugar cube cardstock) Stamped Zigs & Zags Background.

Glitter & Lights-You are Amazing

This card sings broadway 🎭🎶 lights to me with the black and white dot Bold Border Background Block and glitter Tall Tales HELLO ✨ I stamped the polka dot background with Oreo Ink and created the shadowed letters using the Hello Drop Shadow Stencil, black blender brush and Oreo Ink.

I die cut the Tall Tales Alphas to spell HELLO in rainbow cardstock colors. To finish the card design, I added the Wavy Stitch Stacklet design to the edge of the panel. The Wavy Stitch Stacklets are going to be on heavy rotation. They add so much interest to clean simple cards. Love, Love, Love ❤️❤️❤️.

BIG HUGS! Congratulations Card

The Tall Tales Alpha dies are amazing to create big and bold sentiment card fronts. I die cut BIG HUGS using an assortment of cardstock colors (this is a fabulous way to use up your scraps 😉) plus a second layer in Sugar Cube to stack together for extra dimension.

To position the Letters on the Wavy Stitch Stacklet background panel, I used a Cardmaker’s Ruler and Washi Tape to keep things somewhat straight and together. I aranged the bottom of each letter against the top of the ruler and placed a piece of Washi tape over the letters with a little extra tape on either side to function as “handles”. This temporarily secured my letters in place so I could turn the letters upside down, add adhesive and then flipped them back over and adhere them perfectly in place. Once adhered, I carefully removed the washi tape from the letters. I used this method to spell out both BIG and HUGS.

To finish the card, I added hearts in Candy Corn and Lemon Meringue from the Hang On Hearts die set and a You Did It Mini Strips Grad black and white heat embossed sentiment.

Taylored Expressions Spring Colors Release Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! Are you ready for new colors to add to your ink and cardstock line-up. There’s four new colors at Taylored Expressions: Green Tea, Brussel Sprouts, Blue Cheese and Oat Milk.

New Cardstock Colors

My first card is showcasing new cardstock colors Brussels Sprouts, Green Tea & Oat Milk with pops of Macaron & Dijon.

I used the Garden Variety 2 die set to cut the leaves from Brussels Sprouts cardstock and the small blossoms in Macaron cardstock. To create the daisies, I used the first Garden Variety die set in Oat Milk and Dijon for the centers. I adhered all the Garden Variety pieces to a Green Tea panel with liquid and foam adhesive. To finish the card, I added a Jelly Donut TE Fun Foil Hello Friend Sentiment Strip.

New Ink Colors

For my second card, I used the new Brussels Sprouts & Blue Cheese inks with Dijon, Passion Fruit and Dragon Fruit.

For my floral bouquet Thinking of You card, I used the Spring Array Stamp, Stencil and Clear Combo. I started by stamping the stems and leaves in Brussels Sprouts ink and used the layering stencil to ink blend blue, yellow and bright pink florals using Blue Cheese, Dijon and Dragon Fruit. Then I stamped each of the florals with the clear stamp to add extra dimension to the florals. I cut the Spring Array using the coordinating die and adhered it to a foiled Essentials Patterns Volume 2 panel which I die cut with a rectangle stacklet and layered to a petite scallop rectangle stacklet. To finish the card, I added the decorated panel to a Blue Cheese cardbase and a black and white heat embossed Mini Strips-Floral Sentiment.
